Summer Fundraising
A fundraising day for Waterloo Partnership, CAFOD and Cancer support was held recently at the Wills’ family home in Blundellsands. Despite some inclement weather, there was a terrific turn-out from regular friends and a magnificent total of over £1700 was raised, which was shared between the three charities.
The Wills family have been wonderful supporters of Waterloo Partnership over the years and what has become an annual event has involved not only the whole family but also many friends and members of the community. Ann and John Wills sell the flowers they grow; Louise bakes cakes and breads and has a cake stall to rival many a cake shop; fancy goods and prizes are donated by numerous friends and Satterthwaites, owned by John Wills, donated a number of vouchers for cakes for the tombola.
The whole day was a magnificent community event which raised £570 for Waterloo Partnership. Our heartfelt thanks goes to all the Wills family and their supporters.
