Message from Sierra Leone

Our Chair in Sierra Leone, Mr Alieu Badara Mansaray sent the following message following our recent AGM. From Mr Mansaray’s letter it is heartening to hear of the impact of the Waterloo Partnership over the last 10 years. Many thanks to all our donors; past and present.

Good  evening distinguished ladies and gentlemen.

On behalf of the Waterloo Partnership, Sierra Leone, I wish to extend my thanks appreciation to the past and present board of Trusstees, committee members and all the wonderful and kind hearted donors who have supported my community for over a decade, changing the lives of many of our people bringing hope and providing a brighter future for the beneficiaries.

The support to OVCS, Ebola affected people and orphans, provision of clean and safe drinking water, classrooms to enhance teaching and learning environment, support to the vulnerable women farmers, and lately to flood and mudslide victims. The list of areas of your interventions are numerous.

Exactly six years ago I was at your AGM to see and hear distinguished people making statements. That epoch making event still lingers in my mind, and I can still recall the very good working relationships that have existed between us and the past and present officers not forgetting Teresa, David Moorehead, Rick, Fred Nye, David Lloyd and the current chair Sue. I am happy too working with Linda Nye the project coordinator and recall the kind hospitality offered to me during my last visit. I also wish to thank Mary Corbett and husband for taking me around Liverpool and to church where we got a donor for the Lotus well.

Once more I want to thank you all for all you have done for our impoverished community. May the almighty God bless you all and wishing you a successful AGM.

Alieu Badara Mansaray,

Chair WPSL.
