Laurie Read – RIP
We have recently received the sad news of the death of Laurie Read. He was founder and Chair of the Waterloo (SL) School Charity which supports the Peninsula schools in Waterloo, Sierra Leone. Some WP members will remember meeting him in 200 when we worked closely together on packing a container, sending science laboratory equipment from Ainsdale High to provide practical teaching facilities at the Peninsula secondary school. Laurie was a lovely man whose loss will be keenly felt by the charity he founded, and by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayer are with Sue and all his family at this sad time.
